President & Head InstructorSensei Andre Durocher, President and Head Instructor Sensei (teacher) Durocher began his studies of the martial arts in 1987 under Sensei Raymond Deschamps at the Deschamps Orleans Karate Club. Sensei Durocher earned his Shodan (1st degree) Black Belt in 1992 and his Nidan (2nd degree) Black Belt in 1994. In 2002, Sensei Durocher earned his Sandan (3rd degree Black Belt) in Shotokan and Chito-Ryu Karate. At that time he also earned his Shodan (1st degree Black Belt) in Okinawan Jundokan Goju-Ryu Karate. In 2006, Sensei Durocher earned his Nidan (2nd degree Black Belt) in Okinawan Jundokan Goju-Ryu Karate. In 2007, Sensei Durocher earned his Yondan (4th degree Black Belt) in Shotokan and Chito-Ryu Karate. Sensei Durocher has undertaken studies in the arts of Shotokan, Chito-Ryu and Okinawan Jundokan Goju-Ryu Karate, Goshindo, Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu and Judo/ground grappling. He is presently studying four styles of Karate. Sensei Durocher was coordinator for the Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate Team Canada for the Okinawan Rengokai Karate / Kobudo World Championships held in August 2001 in Atlanta. Sensei Durocher was a competitor and participant at the 2008 WKF Championship and Martial Arts Symposium. This event was held in Charleveille-Mzire, France from May 7 to 14, 2008. He served as Canada's Embassador while in France. |
